Conference: Emerging Technologies and Treatment in Women’s Health

Date: 02.05.10 – 05.05.10
Location: Canada – Hyatt Regency Hotel, Montreal, Quebec

The International Society for Emerging Technologies and Treatment in Women's Health is holding its first annual conference in Montreal, Quebec, from 2-5 May, 2010.
In the past several decades numerous treatments and devices have been introduced into the armamentarium to treat disorders and diseases in women. While many of these innovations have proven their value in reducing pain and suffering and improving patient quality of life, no international body has existed to evaluate their safety, efficacy and cost effectiveness.
The conference will focus on emerging technologies and address issues related to advances in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery and natural orifice intraluminal endoscopic surgery, ultrasound technologies, treatment of uterine fibroids with embolization and focused ultrasound, and advances in assisted reproductive technologies including in-vitro maturation treatment and fertility preservation. New treatment or new indication of existing treatment and state of the art image-capturing in medicine will also be discussed.
Based in Montreal, the International Society for Emerging Technologies and Treatment in Women’s Health is composed of leading clinicians and researchers, whose goal is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of emerging technologies in women’s health.
