ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE: Strategic Imperatives for Ending Violence against Women Linkages to Education, Economic Security, and Health

When:  June 11 and 12, 2010

Where:  Hunter College, West Wing, East 68^th Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City

What:  A conference to build collaborations to understand the intersections between violence against women and key social investments: the economy, health and education. Convening leaders from business, academia, philanthropy, advocacy, nonprofit and policy communities, the conference provides participants with a better understanding of UNIFEM programs and funded projects, breaking research within the NCRW member center network, and advocacy and policy initiatives. Speakers will highlight a comprehensive approach to end gender-based violence through specific actions, building communities and leadership.
